Pursuant to Standing Order 32(5), the Committee resumed consideration of the report of the Chief Electoral Officer entitled "An Electoral Framework for the 21st Century: Recommendations from the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Following the 42nd General Election", referred to the Committee on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "An Interim Report in Response to the Chief Electoral Officer’s Recommendations for Legislative Reforms Following the 42nd General Election".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure meet on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.

It was agreed, — That, on Thursday, March 9, 2017, the Committee continue its study of the Chief Electoral Officer’s Report entitled "An Electoral Framework for the 21st Century: Recommendations from the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Following the 42nd General Election" between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.; and, that the Minister of Democratic Institutions be invited to appear between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
