Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(vi) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, the Committee commenced consideration of the subject matter of Bill C-33, An Act to amend the Canada Elections Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts.

The Minister made a statement and answered questions.

On motion of Scott Reid, it was agreed, — That the Committee invite the Minister of Democratic Institutions to appear for two hours to answer questions regarding MyDemocracy.ca and the government’s planned agenda for electoral reform.

Questioning of the Minister resumed.

At 1:09 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
