The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Fourth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

1. That, on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the Committee undertake a study of the Supplementary Estimates (B) 2016-17: Vote 1b under House of Commons and Vote 1b under Parliamentary Protective Service, referred to the Committee on November 3, 2016.

2. That, on Thursday, November 17, 2016, pursuant to Standing Orders 110 and 111, the following individuals appointed as provincial members of the Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments be invited to appear before the Committee: Anne Giardini, Vikram Vij, Roxanne Tarjan, Donald Savoie, Jennifer Gillivan, Ramona Lumpkin, Brian Francis, and Jeannette Arsenault.

3. That, on November 22, 24, 29, and December 1, 2016, the Committee continue its study of the Chief Electoral Officer’s report entitled "An Electoral Framework for the 21st Century: Recommendations from the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Following the 42nd General Election".

4. That the Chair write to the Speaker of the House of Commons to invite him to provide the Committee with a one-hour briefing on the Parliamentary Protective Service on or around November 29, 2016.

At 11:45 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:49 a.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the Committee commenced consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (B) 2016-17: Vote 1b under House of Commons and Vote 1b under Parliamentary Protective Service, referred to the Committee on Thursday, November 3, 2016.

The Chair called Vote 1b under House of Commons.

The Speaker of the House of Commons made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Vote 1b under House of Commons and Vote 1b under Parliamentary Protectice Service to the House.
