Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, May 11, 2017, the Committee commenced its study of the subject matter of clauses 113 to 114 of Bill C-44, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 22, 2017 and other measures.

Ron Parker, Arun Thangaraj and Len Bastien made statements and, with Alain Duplantie, Graham Barr and Martin Loken, answered questions.

On motion of Nick Whalen, it was agreed, — That, following its study of the subject matter of clauses 113 to 114 of Bill C-44, the Committee send a letter, in both official languages, to the Chair of the Standing Committee on Finance informing him that the Committee has no amendments to propose.

At 9:51 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:53 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 2, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act.

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 10:21 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
