Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, the Committee commenced its study of the implementation of Part VII of the Official Languages Act in the administration of the surplus federal lands and real property disposal process.

Steven MacKinnon made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 21, 2019, the Committee commenced its study of workplace safety for parliamentary interpreters.

Steven MacKinnon made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 12:00 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:13 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

At 12:43 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:47 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

At 12:56 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:57 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Motion

Alupa A. Clarke moved, — That the Committee call on the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to reverse its decision, effective April 1, 2019, to end unilingual francophone training at its academy, Depot Division in Saskatchewan.

Debate arose thereon.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 9; NAYS: 0.

At 12:59 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
