Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of the modernization of the Official Languages Act.

Michel Tremblay made a statement and answered questions.

At 11:12 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

At 11:22 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:02 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Lorraine O'Donnell made a statement and, with Michel Tremblay, answered questions.

At 12:45 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:50 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee hear witnesses in relation to its study on the modernization of the Official Languages Act until Thursday, May 2, 2019.

It was agreed, — That the Committee devote its meeting of Thursday, May 9, 2019, to the consideration of a draft report in relation to its study of the state of Canada's Francophonie.

It was agreed, — That the Committee authorize the Analyst to include, in the draft report related to its study of the modernization of the Official Languages Act , evidence from other studies undertaken by the Committee during the 1st session of the 42nd Parliament.

At 1:04 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
