Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, June 8, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of counselling and other mental health supports for jurors.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Improving Support for Jurors in Canada".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the analysts and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a media advisory and a news release for publication on the Committee's website and for distribution.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk make the necessary arrangements for a press conference to be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 12:00 p.m.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $5,500, for the study of Bill C-375, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (presentence report), be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the Main Estimates 2018-19, the Committee invite the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada to appear at her earliest convenience.

At 4:13 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
