Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, May 8, 2019, the Committee resumed its study of M-208 on Rural Digital Infrastructure.

Jason Ernst, Chris Jensen and John Lyotier, by videoconference from Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Christine J. Prudham, by teleconference from Markham, Ontario, and André Nepton, by videoconference from La Baie, Quebec, made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Brian Masse moved, — That the Committee immediately hold two meetings for the purpose of understanding the current mobile phone services for Canadians during times of emergencies.

Debate arose thereon.

Motion

Lloyd Longfield moved, — That the debate be now adjourned.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 8; NAYS: 1.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

At 10:07 , the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
