Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, December 13, 2017, and section 92 of the Copyright Act, the Committee resumed the statutory review of the Act.

Lorne M. Lipkus, Michael Petricone, by videoconference from Washington, D.C., Kelsey Merkley, Laura Tribe and Marie Aspiazu made statements.

Dane Lloyd gave notice of the following motion:

That the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) undertake a study of no less than 6 meetings to investigate and make recommendations on the impacts of the Carbon Tax on Canadian industries’ profitability and global competiveness.

The witnesses answered questions.
