Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee resumed consideration of the Main Estimates 2016-17: Vote 1 under Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Vote 1 under Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety and Votes 1 and 5 under Employment and Social Development, referred to the Committee on Tuesday, February 23, 2016.

Ian Shugart and Evan Siddall made statements and, with Kathryn McDade, Paul Thompson, Louise Levonian, Alain P. Séguin and Brian Naish, answered questions.

Vote 1 under Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation carried on division.

Vote 1 under Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety carried on division.

Vote 1 under Employment and Social Development carried on division.

Vote 5 under Employment and Social Development carried on division.

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Vote 1 under Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Vote 1 under Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety and Votes 1 and 5 under Employment and Social Development, less the amounts voted in Interim Supply, to the House.

At 5:09 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:12 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $22,700.00, for the study of the Impact of Recent Changes to Employment Insurance and of Access to the Program be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $11,300.00, for the study of Bill C-4, An Act to amend the Canada Labour Code, the Parliamentary Employment and Staff Relations Act, the Public Service Labour Relations Act and the Income Tax Act, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the amount for the 2016 Centennial Flame Research Award be set at $5,500, that the deadline for submitting an application be set at Monday, June 6, 2016; and that a press release be published on the Committee Web site.

At 5:19 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
