Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of violence faced by health care workers in hospitals, long-term care facilities and in home care settings.

Jennifer Lyle, Jenna Brookfield, Georgina Hackett, by videoconference from Burnaby, British Columbia, Alex Imperial, by videoconference from Burnaby, British Columbia, and William Riker Jr. made statements and answered questions.

At 5:08 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:13 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Friday, May 17, 2019, the Committee commenced consideration of Bill S-248, An Act respecting National Physicians’ Day.

Pursuant to Standing Order 75(1), consideration of Clause 1, Short Title, and the Preamble was postponed.

The Chair called Clause 2.

The Committee commenced its clause-by-clause study of the Bill.
