Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, November 2, 2016, the Committee commenced consideration of Bill S-208, An Act respecting National Seal Products Day.

The Honourable Céline Hervieux-Payette, Scott Simms, Yvonne Jones and the Honourable Hunter Tootoo made statements and answered questions.

The Committee commenced its clause-by-clause study of the Bill.

Pursuant to Standing Order 75(1), consideration of Clause 1 (Short Title) and the Preamble, are postponed.

The Chair calls Clause 2.

Clause 2 carried.

Clause 3 carried.

The Preamble carried.

Clause 1, Short Title, carried.

The Title carried.

The Bill carried.

ORDERED, — That the Chair report the Bill to the House.

At 10:13 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:16 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

At 10:16 a.m., Scott Simms took the Chair.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That in light on any future travel by the Committee in relation to its study of Marine Protected Areas, the Analyst be asked to produce a summary of evidence heard during said travel, and provide the summary to Members as soon as possible.

At 10:44 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
