The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to its study of Indigenous women in the federal justice and correctional systems, the Committee travel to Edmonton, Alberta, to visit a federal women’s correctional facility, and other facilities pertinent to this study; and that the Clerk of the Committee prepare a travel budget for the Committee’s consideration.

It was agreed, — That a press release with regard to the study of barriers facing women in politics be approved and be published on Monday, May 7, 2018.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of Indigenous women in the federal justice and correctional systems.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 4:22 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:26 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 5:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
