The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee cover the costs of the hospitality provided for the informal meeting on the situation of the Rohinya people, on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.

It was agreed, — That the order adopted on November 23, 2017, pertaining to the budget in the amount of $ 215,895.74, for the Committee’s travel to Tokyo, Japan, Seoul, South Korea and Manila, Philippines, in Winter - Spring 2018 as part of its study of Canada's Engagement in Asia be discharged, and that the Committee resubmit a travel proposal for the same trip for the April to June 2018 time period.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of the United States and Canadian foreign policy.

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 11:45 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:55 a.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Moving the Relationship Forward: NAFTA Modernization and North American Trilateral Cooperation".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12 point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, not later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017.

It was agreed, — That the analysts and the Clerk of the Committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

At 12:47 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
