It was agreed, — That the Twenty-third Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your Subcommittee met on Monday, February 25, 2019, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development undertake a study on the threats to liberal democracy, including studying the conditions, causes, and effects of their rise in European-member countries of Canada’s transatlantic alliances; that it study the implications for Canada of these developments; and that this study consist of four meetings to begin in April 2019.

2. That the Committee hold a meeting for Iran Accountability Week on Thursday, May 9, 2019, and invite the members of the Subcommittee on International Human Rights to participate in the meeting.

3. That the detailed budget for the Committee’s travel to Washington, D.C., and New York, New York, in the amount of $72,371.95 and in relation to the study of Canadian and United States Foreign Relations, be adopted and submitted to the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee.

4. That the Committee hear from Graeme Simpson, lead author of the United Nations Youth Peace and Security Progress Study, for one hour on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.
