Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, the Committee commenced its study of Canada’s sovereignty in the Arctic.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 4:31 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:38 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the Subcommittee on International Human Right's Briefing on the Human Rights Situation in Venezuela,the proposed budget in the amount of $ 6,900.00 be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the committee’s study on Canada’s Sovereignty in the Arctic, the clerk explore the logistics and cost of adding Alert, Nunavut, to the committee’s proposed travel.

At 5:02 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
