NEWS RELEASE

The Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development invites public to submit written briefs on its study of Clean Growth and Climate Change in Canada: International Leadership

Ottawa, October 19, 2018 -

The House of Commons Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development commenced its study on Clean Growth and Climate Change in Canada: International Leadership on 16 October 2018. The study topic stems from the "International Leadership" section of the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change, which contains three sub-topics:

• Canada’s international climate-finance commitments;

• the international transfer of mitigation outcomes; and

• trade and climate policy.

The Committee invites interested individuals and groups to participate by providing written submissions on these topics. Submissions 10 pages and under will be translated, circulated to the Committee members and posted on the Committee's website.

Submissions should be sent to: envi@parl.gc.ca by Friday, November 2, 2018.

The Committee thanks all participants in advance for contributing to its study.
