Larry Maguire raised a point of order regarding the resumption of the debate on the motion before the Committee on Monday, February 25, 2019.
RULING BY THE CHAIR
The Chair ruled that the Committee meeting from Monday, February 25, 2019, was adjourned for lack of quorum and that, should members wish to resume the debate on the motion from Monday, February 25, 2019, a motion to that effect could be moved.
Whereupon, David Tilson appealed the decision of the Chair.
The question: "Shall the decision of the Chair be sustained?" was put and the decision was sustained on the following recorded division:
YEAS: Ramez Ayoub, Peter Fragiskatos, Randeep Sarai, Marwan Tabbara, Salma Zahid — 5;
NAYS: Larry Maguire, David Tilson — 2.
Kathy Megyery, by videoconference from Montréal, Québec, Marcy Burchfield, Marc Audet and Philip Mooney made statements and, with Alexandre Gagnon and Michel Cournoyer, by videoconference from Montréal, Québec, answered questions.
At 4:44 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 4:47 p.m., the sitting resumed.
Véronique Proulx, by videoconference from Montréal, Québec, Mark Lewis and Santiago Escobar made statements and answered questions.
At 5:34 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
