Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, May 2, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the next agricultural policy framework.

Casey Vander Ploeg, by videoconference from Calgary, Alberta, Brett Halstead and Patti Miller made statements and, with Catherine Scovil, answered questions.

At 10:09 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:13 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $37,500, for the study of the next agricultural policy framework, be adopted.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of genetically modified animals for human consumption.

The Committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a report.

At 10:28 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
