Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 1, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of the support of Indigenous Canadians in the agriculture and agri-food industry.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Support for Indigenous Peoples in the Agriculture and Agri-Food Industry".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12 point font, left aligned, single line spacing and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the analysts and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the Committee's website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Committee make the necessary arrangements for a press conference to be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 10:15 a.m. after the presentation of the Committee's report to the House on the study of mental health challenges that Canadian farmers, ranchers, and producers face; and that the Committee be represented by the Chair and a representative from each party.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee invite officials from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, as well as relevant stakeholders, to update the Committee on African Swine Fever, and the efforts to prevent its spread to Canada; and that the study consist of two meetings: one meeting with representatives from the porcine industry and one meeting with representatives from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

At 12:07 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
