The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

Phil McColeman gave notice of the following motions:

That the Committee invite the Acting Minister of Veterans Affairs to appear on the Supplementary Estimates (B) on February 25 or 27, 2019.

That this Committee call on the Prime Minister to appoint a full-time Minister of Veterans Affairs.

That the Committee invite the Acting Minister of Veterans Affairs to appear before this Committee so that he can understand the topic areas that we are discussing and how important they are to veterans.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 9, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of medical cannabis and veterans’ well-being.

James MacKillop, Kyle Atkinson, by videoconference from Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Andrew Freedman, by videoconference from San Francisco, California, made statements and answered questions.

At 4:29 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit for four minutes.

At 4:33 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
