Introduction of Private Members' Bills

Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Scarpaleggia (Lac-Saint-Louis), seconded by Mr. Lamoureux (Winnipeg North), Bill C-653, An Act to amend the Canada Water Act (recycling, conservation and efficiency), was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

Mr. Kenney (Minister of National Defence and Minister for Multiculturalism), seconded by Mr. Cotler (Mount Royal), moved, — That a take-note debate on the subject of the troubling rise in anti-Semitism around the world, as discussed at a meeting of the United Nations General Assembly on January 22, 2015, take place pursuant to Standing Order 53.1 on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.

Government Orders

Mr. Blaney (Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness), seconded by Mr. MacKay (Minister of Justice), moved, — That the Bill be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security.
