The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met in camera at 11:04 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, David Sweet, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: John Carmichael, Joe Daniel, Cheryl Gallant, Hon. Mike Lake, Brian Masse, Peggy Nash, Annick Papillon, Hon. Judy Sgro, David Sweet and Mark Warawa.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Mathieu Frigon, Analyst; Dillan Theckedath, Analyst.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the Committee hear the Hon. James Moore, P.C., M.P., Minister of Industry, and officials from the Department of Industry on Thursday, February 5, 2015 as part of the Committee’s consideration of Bill S-4, An Act to amend the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and to make a consequential amendment to another Act.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee hear witnesses on Bill S-4, An Act to amend the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and to make a consequential amendment to another Act on February 17, 19, 24 and 26, 2015 and on March 10, 12, 24, 26 and 31, 2015.

 

It was agreed, — That each political party submit to the Clerk of the Committee a list of suggested witnesses for the consideration of Bill S-4, An Act to amend the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and to make a consequential amendment to another Act no later than Friday, February 6, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. and that the Chair determine an order in which the witnesses are heard.

 

It was agreed, — That the clause-by-clause consideration of Bill S-4, An Act to amend the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and to make a consequential amendment to another Act, be on Tuesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 23, 2015.

 

At 11:11 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
