The Standing Committee on Health met in camera at 11:02 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Ben Lobb, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Eve Adams, Libby Davies, Hon. Hedy Fry, Matthew Kellway, Wladyslaw Lizon, Ben Lobb, James Lunney, David Wilks and Terence Young.

 

Acting Members present: Alain Giguère for Dany Morin and Adam Vaughan for Hon. Hedy Fry.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Havi Echenberg, Analyst; Marlisa Tiedemann, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, the Committee resumed its study of e-cigarettes.
 
The Committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a report.
 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $500.00, for the study of Supplementary Estimates (B) 2014-15 be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee undertake a statutory review of the Pest Control Products Act as required under section 80.1 of the Act; that its first meeting in 2015 include a presentation by departmental officials; that not more than two further full meetings be dedicated to this purpose, and that the Committee report its findings to the House of Commons.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee proceed to clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-608, An Act respecting a National Day of the Midwife, during the first hour of the meeting to be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee hear Rosane Doré Lefebvre on Bill C-608, An Act respecting a National Day of the Midwife.

 

At 12:03 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
