The Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee met in camera at 1:31 p.m. this day, in Room 268, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Dean Allison, presiding.

 

Members of the Subcommittee present: Dean Allison, James Bezan, Françoise Boivin, David Christopherson, Larry Miller, Joe Preston, Merv Tweed and Chris Warkentin.

 

Other Members present: Fin Donnelly and Greg Kerr.

 

In attendance: House of Commons: Karen Thriepland, Coordinator, Logistics Services. Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans: Georges Etoka, Clerk of the Committee. Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates: Marc-Olivier Girard, Clerk of the Committee. Standing Committee on National Defence: Jean-François Lafleur, Clerk of the Committee. Library of Parliament: Kristen Douglas, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 107(1), the Subcommittee resumed its study on budget submissions.
 

The Clerk gave a presentation of the financial status of the global envelope for committee activities.

 

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs be granted a travel budget of $2,400.60 to travel to Montreal, Quebec, in relation to its study on the Review of the Delivery of Front-Line Health and Wellbeing Services for Canadian Veterans, in the Winter of 2012.

 

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs be granted a travel budget of $15,206.60 to travel to Toronto, Ontario, in relation to its study on the Review of the Delivery of Front-Line Health and Wellbeing Services for Canadian Veterans, in the Winter of 2012.

 

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on National Defence be granted a travel budget of $34,175.55 to travel to Kingston and Toronto, Ontario, in relation to its study on Maintaining the Readiness of the Canadian Forces, in the Winter of 2011-2012.

 

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans be granted a travel budget of $62,559.60 to travel to Shepherdstown, West Virginia, United States of America and Washington, D.C., United States of America, in relation to its study on Closed Containment Salmon Aquaculture, in the Fall of 2011 -Winter of 2012.

 

At 1:53 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
