The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met at 3:32 p.m. this day, in Room C-110, 1 Wellington Street, the Chair, Rodney Weston, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Mike Allen, Ryan Cleary, Patricia Davidson, Fin Donnelly, Rosane Doré Lefebvre, Bryan Hayes, Randy Kamp, Hon. Lawrence MacAulay, Robert Sopuck, Jonathan Tremblay and Rodney Weston.

 

Acting Members present: Wladyslaw Lizon for Ryan Leef.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Kristen E. Courtney, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Conservation Council of New Brunswick Inc.: Matthew Abbott, Fundy Baykeeper; Inka Milewski, Science Advisor.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, the Committee resumed its study of closed containment salmon aquaculture.
 

Inka Milewski and Matthew Abbott made statements and answered questions.

 

At 4:33 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:40 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

Fin Donnelly moved, — That the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans consider the Supplementary Estimates (B) on or before December 6, 2011, pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), and that the Minister be requested to testify.

 

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 10; NAYS: 0.

 

At 4:51 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
