The Standing Committee on the Status of Women met at 8:46 a.m. this day, in Room C-110, 1 Wellington Street, the Chair, Marie-Claude Morin, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Stella Ambler, Niki Ashton, Jay Aspin, Joyce Bateman, Anne-Marie Day, Sana Hassainia, Roxanne James, Marie-Claude Morin, Tilly O'Neill Gordon, Hon. Judy Sgro, Susan Truppe and Wai Young.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Havi Echenberg, Analyst; Laura Munn-Rivard, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Treasury Board Secretariat: Serge Jetté, Manager, Conflict Management Services, Human Resources Division. Status of Women Canada: Linda Savoie, Director General, Women's Program and Regional Operations Directorate; Kelly Bradley, Acting Chief, Human Resources. Department of Public Works and Government Services: Marielle Doyon, Acting Assistant Deputy Minister, Human Resources Branch; Caroline Weber, Assistant Deputy Minister, Corporate Services and Strategic Policy Branch; Charles Vézina, Director, Labour Relations and Ethics. Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade: Yves Vaillancourt, Inspector General and Chief Audit Executive; Pat Langan-Torell, Director, Values and Ethics.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, the Committee resumed its study of sexual harassment in the federal workplace.
 

Serge Jetté and Linda Savoie made statements and answered questions.

 

At 9:43 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:48 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Marielle Doyon and Pat LanganTorell made statements and, with Yves Vaillancourt, Charles Vézina and Caroline Weber, answered questions.

 

At 10:45 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
