At 11:00 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 30(6), the House proceeded to the consideration of Private Members' Business.

The Order was read for the second reading and reference to the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights of Bill C-389, An Act to amend the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code (gender identity and gender expression).

Mr. Siksay (Burnaby—Douglas), seconded by Ms. Leslie (Halifax), moved, — That the Bill be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights.

Debate arose thereon.

Pursuant to Standing Order 93(1), the Order was dropped to the bottom of the order of precedence on the Order Paper.

Government Orders

The Order was read for the second reading and reference to the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology of Bill C-14, An Act to amend the Electricity and Gas Inspection Act and the Weights and Measures Act.
