The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met in camera at 9:04 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, the Hon. Michael D.Chong, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Robert Bouchard, Peter Braid, Gordon Brown, Serge Cardin, Hon. Michael D. Chong, Mike Lake, Brian Masse, Anthony Rota, Dave Van Kesteren and Mike Wallace.

 

Acting Members present: Rodger Cuzner for Hon. Dan McTeague, Hon. John McKay for Marc Garneau and Hon. Bryon Wilfert for Marc Garneau.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Mathieu Frigon, Analyst; Dillan Theckedath, Analyst.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 97(1), the Chair present a report to the House requesting that the deadline for the presentation of the Committee’s final report to the House respecting Bill C-309, An Act establishing the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Region of Northern Ontario, be extended.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 97(1), the Chair present a report to the House requesting that the deadline for the presentation of the Committee’s final report to the House respecting Bill C-393, An Act to amend the Patent Act (drugs for international humanitarian purposes) and to make a consequential amendment to another Act, be extended.

 

At 9:42 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
