The Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 8:50 a.m. this day, in Room 7-52, 131 Queen St., the Chair, Candice Hoeppner, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Josée Beaudin, Hon. Rick Casson, Candice Hoeppner, Ed Komarnicki, Yves Lessard, Tony Martin, Michael John Savage, Maurice Vellacott and Jeff Watson.

Acting Members present: Kelly Block for Alice Wong, Marc Garneau for Hon. Maria Minna and Hon. John McCallum for Raymonde Folco.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Sandra Gruescu, Analyst ; André Léonard, Analyst . House of Commons: Jacques Maziade, Procedural Clerk.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, the Committee resumed its study of the Federal Support Measures to Adoptive Parents.

Mickey Sarazin made a statement and, with Rénald Gilbert, Nicole Girard, Jacques Paquette, Louis Beauséjour and François Weldon, answered questions.

At 9:50 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:51 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Peter Dudding and Will Falk made statements and answered questions.

At 10:32 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:33 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

At 10:46 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
