The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met at 8:06 a.m. this day, in the Champlain Ballroom, Ramada Plaza Crystal Palace and Convention Centre, Moncton, New Brunswick, the Chair, Rodney Weston, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Mike Allen, Raynald Blais, Hon. Gerry Byrne, Fin Donnelly, Randy Kamp, Tilly O'Neill-Gordon and Rodney Weston.

Acting Members present: Hon. Dominic LeBlanc for Scott Andrews.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, the Committee resumed its study of the snow crab industry in Atlantic Canada and Quebec.

David Bevan made a statement and, with Marc Lanteigne and Mikio Moriyasu, answered questions.

At 8:56 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
