The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 11:05 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Joe Preston, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Harold Albrecht, Kelly Block, Claude DeBellefeuille, Yvon Godin, Michel Guimond, Hon. Marlene Jennings, Guy Lauzon, Tom Lukiwski, Joe Preston, Marcel Proulx and Scott Reid.

 

Acting Members present: Charlie Angus for Yvon Godin, Luc Malo for Michel Guimond and Judy Wasylycia-Leis for Yvon Godin.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Michel Bédard, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: House of Commons: Audrey O'Brien, Clerk of the House of Commons; Rob Walsh, Law Clerk and Parliamentary Counsel.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(v), the Committee resumed consideration of matters relating to the Webcasting of the House and its Committees.
 

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

 

It was agreed, — That the document entitled Notes for an Opening Statement by Ms. Audrey O'Brien, Clerk of the House of Commons before the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs, Thursday, February 26, 2009, regarding Internet Broadcasting, presented by Ms. Audrey O'Brien, be appended to today’s Evidence.

 

At 12:11 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:12 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee proceed to sit in camera.

 

At 12:16 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

 

At 12:16 p.m., the Committee resumed sitting in camera.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee meet in camera on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 to resume consideration of the draft report on Webcasting of the House and its committees and to consider matters related to Committee business.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee do now adjourn.

 

At 12:52 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
