The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met at 3:31 p.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Yasmin Ratansi, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Rob Anders, Diane Bourgeois, Patrick Brown, Judy Foote, Jacques Gourde, Martha Hall Findlay, Ed Holder, Pat Martin, Yasmin Ratansi and Chris Warkentin.

 

Acting Members present: Serge Cardin for Richard Nadeau.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Lydia Scratch, Analyst; Sylvain Fleury, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Department of Finance: Paul Rochon, Senior Assistant Deputy Minister, Economic and Fiscal Policy Branch; Benoit Robidoux, General Director, Economic and Fiscal Policy Branch. Infrastructure Canada: Yaprak Baltacioglu, Deputy Minister, Office of the Deputy Head; John Forster, Associate Deputy Minister, Associate Deputy Minister's Office.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(c) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 12, 2009, the Committee resumed its study of the economic stimulus package.
 

Paul Rochon made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 5:00 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:00 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the Committee not meet on Thursday, December 10, 2009, and that its first meeting after the holiday break scheduled on the parliamentary calendar focus on matters related to Committee business.

 

At 5:03 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
