The Standing Committee on National Defence met in camera at 11:09 a.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, Hon. Maxime Bernier, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Claude Bachand, Hon. Maxime Bernier, Steven Blaney, Ray Boughen, Hon. Denis Coderre, Jack Harris, Laurie Hawn, Pascal-Pierre Paillé, LaVar Payne and Hon. Bryon Wilfert.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: James Cox, Analyst.

 

Delegation: Syed Navdeed Qamar, Member of the National Assembly, Federal Minister for Privatization and Delegation Co-Leader; Riaz Fatiana, Member of the National Assembly and Member of the Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue; Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Member of the National Assembly and Member of the Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue; Abdul Rashid Godil, Member of the National Assembly and Member of the Standing Committee on Finance; Muhammad Mushtaq, Deputy Secretary Legislation, National Assembly; Ahmed Bilal Mehboob, Executive Director, Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT); Aasiya Riaz, Joint Director, Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT); Mamoona Amjed Malik, Press Counsellor, High Commission for Pakistan.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee met with representatives of the delegation from Pakisan.
 

The delegates made statements and answered questions.

 

At 11:59 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:09 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

At 12:29 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
