The Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics met in camera at 4:39 p.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Paul Szabo, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Kelly Block, Earl Dreeshen, Russ Hiebert, Michelle Simson, Paul Szabo and Borys Wrzesnewskyj.

 

Acting Members present: Roger Gaudet for Ève-Mary Thaï Thi Lac, Richard Nadeau for Carole Freeman and Tilly O'Neill-Gordon for Bob Dechert.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Élise Hurtubise-Loranger, Analyst; Alysia Davies, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, February 9, 2009, the Committee resumed its study on the Privacy Act Reform.
 

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That an invitation be sent to the Minister of Justice and to the Minister of Public Safety to appear before the Committee in relation to the study of the Privacy Act reform.
