The Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs met in camera at 3:31 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, David Sweet, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Guy André, Scott Andrews, Robert Gordon Clarke, Judy Foote, Greg Kerr, Ben Lobb, Phil McColeman, Tilly O'Neill-Gordon, Hon. Judy Sgro, Peter Stoffer and David Sweet.

 

Acting Members present: Yvon Lévesque for Roger Gaudet.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Michel Rossignol, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, February 9, 2009, the Committee resumed its comparison study of veterans services offered by members of the Commonwealth and the G8.
 

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

 

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes to the Report as may be necessary without changing the substance of the Report.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to this Report.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair present the report to the House on or before Wednesday, June 17, 2009.

 

It was agreed, — That, the Clerk organize a press conference after the tabling of the Report in the House and that a news release be prepared and distributed.

 

At 4:25 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
