The Standing Committee on Human Resources, Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 9:05 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Vice-Chair, Michael Savage, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: France Bonsant, Gord Brown, Rodger Cuzner, Ruby Dhalla, Jacques Gourde, Mike Lake, Yves Lessard, Michael Savage and Lynne Yelich.

 

Acting Members present: Hon. Carolyn Bennett for Hon. Judy Sgro, Penny Priddy for Tony Martin and David Tilson for Dean Allison.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Kevin Kerr, Analyst; Jennifer Paul, Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, April 1st, 2008, the Committee resumed its study of the Canada Employment Insurance Financing Board.
 

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, November 28, 2007, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-362, An Act to amend the Old Age Security Act (residency requirement).
