The Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics met in camera at 3:34 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Paul Szabo, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Dean Del Mastro, Sukh Dhaliwal, Russ Hiebert, Carole Lavallée, Pat Martin, Richard Nadeau, Glen Douglas Pearson, Paul Szabo, David Tilson, Dave Van Kesteren and Mike Wallace.

 

Acting Members present: John Maloney for Hon. Charles Hubbard.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Kristen Douglas, Analyst; Nancy Holmes, Analyst.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on May 10, 2007, the Committee resumed its study of Access to Information request for the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade internal report entitled "Afghanistan 2006: Good Governance, Democratic Development and Human Rights".
 

At 3:58 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:00 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

It was agreed, — That the next meeting of the Committee relating to the report on its study of Access to Information request for the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade internal report entitled "Afghanistan 2006: Good Governance, Democratic Development and Human Rights", take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2008.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the Chair write to Karlheinz Schreiber informing him that his attendance before the Committee is no longer needed, and that a letter be sent to the Speaker of the House of Commons informing him of this decision.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee proceed to the consideration of the draft report of the study of the Mulroney Airbus Settlement on Thursday, March 13, 2008.

 

At 4:58 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
