The Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs met in camera at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Rob Anders, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Rob Anders, Roger Gaudet, Hon. Albina Guarnieri, Betty Hinton, Gilles-A. Perron, Todd Norman Russell, Bev Shipley, Brent St. Denis, David Sweet and Roger Valley.

 

Acting Members present: Bruce Stanton for Ron Cannan.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Michel Rossignol, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) the Committee resumed its study of Veterans Health Care Review and Veterans Independence Program.
 

It was agreed, — That the evidence received by the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs in relation to its study on Veterans Health Care Review and Veterans Independence Program during the first Session of the 39th Parliament, be taken into consideration by the Committee in the current session.

 

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: Resetting the Bar for Veterans Health Care: the Veterans Independence Program and the Veterans Health Care Review.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

 

At 4:50 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
