The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met in camera at 11:05 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Gary Goodyear, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Gary Goodyear, Michel Guimond, Hon. Jay Hill, Pauline Picard, Joe Preston, Marcel Proulx, Hon. Karen Redman and Scott Reid.

 

Acting Members present: Dean Allison for Tom Lukiwski, Joe Comartin for Yvon Godin, Hon. Dominic LeBlanc for Hon. Stephen Owen and Hon. Raymond Simard for Hon. Marlene Jennings.

 

Associate Members present: Mario Silva.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: James Robertson, Principal; Sebastian Spano, Analyst; Dominique Valiquet, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(vi), the Committee resumed consideration of matters relating to the election of Members to the House of Commons.
 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(viii), the Committee resumed consideration of matters relating to the Conflict of Interest Code for Members of the House of Commons.
 

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

 

It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

At 12:54 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
