The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in a televised session at 3:33 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Diane Marleau, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Harold Albrecht, Diane Bourgeois, Daryl Kramp, Hon. Diane Marleau, James Moore, Richard Nadeau, Peggy Nash, Pierre Poilievre, Hon. Raymond Simard, Hon. Garth Turner and Chris Warkentin.

 

Acting Members present: Hon. Marlene Jennings for Raymond Bonin and Thierry St-Cyr for Diane Bourgeois.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Guy Beaumier, Analyst; Philippe Le Goff, Analyst.

 

Appearing: Hon. Vic Toews, President of the Treasury Board.

 

Witnesses: Public Service Human Resources Management Agency of Canada: Nicole Jauvin, President; Su Dazé, Senior Financial Officer. Treasury Board Secretariat: Wayne G. Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2007-2008: Votes 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 30 and 35 under TREASURY BOARD referred to the Committee on Tuesday, February 27, 2007.
 

Hon. Vic Toews made an opening statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 5:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
