We can now proceed to the election of the chair. I am ready to receive motions to that effect.

It is my pleasure to nominate Yasmin Ratansi as chair of the committee for the status of women.

The Clerk:

It has been moved by Susan Kadis that Yasmin Ratansi be elected as chair of the committee.

Madam, if you need a seconder, I would second that.

Is it the pleasure of the committee to adopt the motion?
