The Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 701, La Promenade Building, the Chair, James Bezan, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: David Anderson, Alex Atamanenko, André Bellavance, James Bezan, Ken Boshcoff, Barry Devolin, Hon. Wayne Easter, Roger Gaudet, Jacques Gourde, Hon. Charles Hubbard, Larry Miller and Paul Steckle.

Acting Members present: Leon Benoit for Barry Devolin, Bev Shipley for Barry Devolin and Bradley R. Trost for Jacques Gourde.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jean-Denis Fréchette, Principal.

Witnesses: Grow Canada: Denise Dewar, Vice-President, CropLife; Richard Phillips, Executive Director, Grain Growers of Canada. Canadian Federation of Agriculture: Bob Friesen, President; Justin To, Executive Director. As an individual: Terry Betker, former member, National Safety Net Advisory Board.
