The Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food met at 8:40 a.m. this day, in Salon D, Penticton Lakeside Resort Convention Centre, Penticton, British Columbia, the Chair, James Bezan, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Alex Atamanenko, James Bezan, Hon. Wayne Easter, Roger Gaudet, Hon. Charles Hubbard, Larry Miller and Paul Steckle.

 

Acting Members present: Richard Harris for David Anderson.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jean-Denis Fréchette, Principal.

 

Witnesses: Southern Interior Stockmen's Association: Linda Allison. British Columbia Landscape & Nursery Association: Hedy Dyck, Contract Industry Coordinator, Nursery Industry Development; Tim Loewen, Growers Chair. British Columbia Grain Producers Association: Ross Ravelli, Director. BC Fruit Growers Association: Joe Sardinha. British Colombia Fruit Growers Association: Glen Lucas, General Manager. British Columbia Agriculture Council: Steve Thomson, Executive Director. British Columbia Grapegrowers Association: Hans Buchler, Director. British Columbia Cattlemen's Association: Ernie Willis.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of Agricultural Policy Framework.
