The Subcommittee on Public Safety and National Security of the Standing Committee on Justice, Human Rights, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness met at 6:27 p.m. this day, in Room 209 West Block, the Chair, Paul Zed, presiding. |
Members of the Subcommittee present: Joe Comartin, Roy Cullen, Peter MacKay, Serge Ménard, Kevin Sorenson, Tom Wappel and Paul Zed. |
In attendance: Library of Parliament: Philip Rosen, Analyst. |
Witnesses: Commission for Public Complaints Against the Royal Canadian Mounted Police: Shirley Heafey, Chair; Steven Mc Donell, Senior General Counsel. |
| Pursuant to the Order of Reference of November 22, 2004, the Subcommittee resumed its study of the Anti-terrorism Act. |
Shirley Heafey made a statement and, with the other witness, answered questions. |
At 7:47 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair. |
