The Standing Committee on Industry, Natural Resources, Science and Technology met in camera at 3:41 p.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Chair, Brent St. Denis, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Michael Chong, Paul Crête, Brian Masse, Lynn Myers, Hon. Jerry Pickard, Werner Schmidt, Brent St. Denis and Bradley R. Trost.

 

Acting Members present: Marc Boulianne for Serge Cardin.

 

Associate Members present: Sébastien Gagnon.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jean-Luc Bourdages, Analyst; Dan Shaw, Analyst.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That an additional meeting be scheduled for Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. in order to hear Ministers invited to appear on fuel/gasoline prices.

 

It was agreed, — That additional witnesses suggested by Committee members appear on fuel/gas prices on Thursday, October 6, following the Minister of Transport's appearance.

 

It was agreed, — That meetings on Bill C-19 resume as soon as possible.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to the motion adopted by the Committee on June 22, 2005, concerning the Technology Partnerships Program (TPC), witnesses be invited to appear on Tuesday, October 4.

 

It was agreed, — That, further to the September 28, 2005, letter from the Minister of Industry, the Minister be invited to appear on sectoral strategies.

 

At 5:34 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
