| Pursuant to Standing Order 32(5), your Committee has considered the Proposed Regulations Amending the Tobacco Reporting Regulations, pursuant to the Tobacco Act, S.C. 1997, c. 13, sbs. 42.1(1). | Conformément à l'article 32(5) du Règlement, votre Comité a étudié le Projet de règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les rapports relatifs au tabac, conformément à la Loi sur le tabac, L.C. 1997, ch. 13, par. 42.1(1). |
| Your Committee unanimously recommends that the Government enacts the proposed regulations with the following amendment: That, in the Proposed Regulations Amending the Tobacco Reporting Regulations, the proposed amendment 3 be further amended by deleting the words: “the Minister must be able to manipulate the test results; and”, and replacing them with the following: “the Minister must be able to electronically process the test results without having to re-copy or re-enter them; and” | Votre Comité recommande unanimement que le gouvernement promulgue le Règlement proposé avec l'amendement suivant : Que, dans le Projet de règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les rapports relatifs au tabac, la modification 3 qui est proposée soit modifiée par suppression des mots suivants : « il doit pouvoir manipuler les résultats; » et en les remplaçant par ce qui suit : « le ministre doit pouvoir traiter électroniquement les résultats sans devoir les recopier ou les entrer de nouveau; » |
| Your Committee also recommends that all information to be submitted to Health Canada under these regulations be made public. If need be, the Minister of Health should authorize its disclosure in the public interest in accordance with Section 20(6) of the Access to Information Act. | Par conséquent, le Comité recommande que toute l'information qui doit être présentée à Santé Canada en application de ce Règlement soit rendue publique. Au besoin, le ministre de la Santé devrait autoriser sa communication dans l'intérêt public en vertu du paragraphe 20(6) de la Loi sur l'accès à l'information. |
