The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 1:15 p.m. this day, in the Regal Ballroom, Crowne Plaza Vancouver Hotel Georgia, Vancouver, British Columbia, the Chair, Marlene Catterall, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Sarmite Bulte, Marlene Catterall, Marc Lemay, Gary Schellenberger and Mario Silva.

 

Associate Members present: Libby Davies.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Joseph Jackson, Senior Analyst; Sam Banks, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Motion Picture Production Industry Association of British Columbia: Peter Leitch, Chair. Canadian Film and Television Production Association: Julia Keatley, Keatley Film Ltd; Trish Dolman, Producer. Echelon Talent Management: Andrew Ooi, President. Landmark Cinemas of Canada: Neil Campbell, Chief Operating Officer. Voice Pictures Inc.: Wendy Hill-Tout, President. As Individuals: Dave Thomas, President and Owner, Maple and Palm Productions; Nic Wry.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of Canadian Feature Film Industry.
 

Peter Leitch, Julia Keatley and Trish Dolman made statements and answered questions.

 

At 2:25 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
