Monday, May 26, 2003

The Subcommittee on National Security of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights met at 3:35 p.m. this day, in Room 208, West Block, the Chair, Derek Lee, presiding.

Members of the Subcommittee present: Marlene Jennings, Robert Lanctôt, Derek Lee, John McKay, Kevin Sorenson and Vic Toews.

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Philip Rosen, Principal.

Witness: From the Royal Canadian Mounted Police: Dan Killam, Director General of Operations, Criminal Intelligence Directorate.

Pursuant to a motion of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights adopted on Wednesday, November 6, 2002, consideration of the Solicitor General Main Estimates 2002-2003 (RCMP).

The witness made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 5:15 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
