The Subcommittee on Electoral Boundaries Readjustment of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 9:44 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Paddy Torsney, presiding.
Members of the Subcommittee present: Rick Borotsik, Yvon Godin, Michel Guimond, Marcel Proulx and Paddy Torsney.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Gérald Lafrenière, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the House of Commons: Guy St-Julien, Abitibi—Baie-James—Nunavik; Mark Assad, Gatineau; Ghislain Fournier, Manicouagan.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs on Thursday, November 7, 2002, the Subcommittee resumed consideration of the matter of the objections to the report of the electoral boundaries commission for Québec.
Guy St-Julien made a statement and answered questions.
Mark Assad made a statement and answered questions.
Ghislain Fournier made a statement and answered questions.
At 10:53 a.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
